On the last and greatest day of the Feast,
Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty,
let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture
has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."
- John 7:37-38
Let me start by saying "I'm thirsty".
I'm thirsty to see change in the world. I'm thirsty to see broken
people healed. I'm thirsty to deal with my own baggage. I'm thirsty
to get along with more people. I'm thirsty to know more peace,
to know more love, to know more happiness, to know more - truth.

and
I want to live - and I don't mean exist, I mean
I want to live life to the full.
I don't wanna drink no stale and stagnant water
that's been sitting in a bucket in the back garden for the last
year. I want fresh clean water. I don't just wanna work and not
have time, and be tired and still be skint. I don't wanna be angry
at everything and I don't wanna spend my life chasing things that
when I get them just don't satisfy. And maybe it's not even that
I don't want no stale and manky water.
Maybe it's more like I don't wanna BE like stale, manky, dead
water.
Cos when I look back at my life, that's all that
was coming out of me. Complain about everything - if only.....................then
I'd be happy. But now I think, maybe it wasn't about what was
being done to me so much as what I was doing to others.
The living water Jesus talks about flows from
within - but then it flows out. Out in to the world. Love, hope,
peace, joy, happiness. Can you imagine what it would be like if
that was flowing out of everyone - Love, hope, peace, joy, happiness
- truth.
WE COULD CHANGE THE WORLD
But we gotta take a drink first.
